What is an .FLC file?
FLI files are animation files saved in the Autodesk Animator FLIC (FLC) format, which stores sequences of compressed bitmap frames for playback as animations. The format was developed for DOS-based multimedia applications and games, using efficient frame-difference compression to reduce file sizes and improve performance on limited 1990s-era hardware. FLC files typically do not include audio and were commonly used for animations, intros, and cutscenes in older PC software.
You may encounter FLC files when exploring classic DOS games, accessing archived multimedia projects, or working with legacy animation assets. File Viewer Plus can play FLC files and convert them to MP4, making them compatible with a broader range of devices and media players.
